Affitto una stanza. La loro casa è una villetta. La casa ha quattro stanze da letto, due bagni, una cucina, una cantina e un garage. E tu, Tommaso?” Tommaso: “Ho un appartamento a Roma. Il mio appartamento è abbastanza grande e moderno. È in un nuovo palazzone. È al quinto piano. Nel mio appartamento ci sono tre camere da letto, una cucina, un salotto, una grande terrazza.” Giuditta: “ Che bello! Anch’io abito a Roma, ma l’appartamento dove vivo con mia madre è molto piccolo. Ha solo una camera, una cucina e un bagno.” |

Michelangelo: "I live in an apartment, and I am renting it. The apartment is in an ancient building and is on the third floor. It’s not very big: there’s a kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom. Where do you live?" Tommaso: "I have an apartment in Rome. My apartment is quite large and modern. It’s in a new building. It’s on the fifth floor. In my apartment there are three bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, a large terrace." Giuditta: "How nice! I live in Rome too, but the apartment where I live with my mother is very small. It has only one room, a kitchen and a bathroom." |

In Italian the first floor is called il piano terra (ground level) and the second floor is called il primo piano (the first floor). The third and fourth floors would therefore be il secondo (second floor) and il terzo piano (third floor), respectively.
