- This SPA 001 textbook that is an introduction to Spanish grammar and development of all language skills in a cultural context with special emphasis on communication. These curricula were developed around a series of context-specific readers created by our graduate students and faculty; the course grammar and vocabulary were taken directly from these readers so that students could see content in context, and course activities from reading/culture workshops to writing practice were also designed.
