These curricula were developed around a series of context-specific readers created by our graduate students and faculty; the course grammar and vocabulary were taken directly from these readers so that students could see content in context, and course activities from reading/culture workshops to writing practice were also designed. The curricula were developed with a focus on oral communication based on their alignment with the broader program framework; additional activities were then designed to strengthen reading, writing and speaking skills.
