Studiamo !
We have learned two types of object pronouns in the formation of sentences:
I pronomi oggetto diretto (direct object pronouns) | I pronomi oggetto indiretto (indirect object pronouns) |
---|---|
mi | mi |
ti | ti |
la, l’ | le |
lo, l’ | gli |
ci | ci |
vi | vi |
le | gli |
li |
(a) When we want to use both pronouns at the same time, they must follow a certain order. When the indirect object pronoun (i.o.) is me, te, ce, ve it always comes first, before the direct object pronoun (d.o.), la/lo/le/gli. For third persons there is the combined form gliela-glielo-gliele-glieli
Lei mi dà un libro. (She gives me a book.)
- objet indirect = mi
- objet direct = un libro => lo
Lei me lo dà (She gives it to me.)
— Chi ci spiega la grammatica ? (Who explains the grammar to us?)
— La signora Ponsardin ce la spiega. (Mme. Ponsardin explains it to us.)
— Chi vi ha dato le torte ? (Who gave you the pies?)
— Thomas ce le ha date. (Thomas gave them to us.)
Verbo all'imperativo | Pronome indiretto unito al verbo e oggetto diretto |
---|---|
[verbo] |
melo/la/li/le telo/la/li/le glielo/la/li/le gliene celo/cela/celi/cele velo/vela/veli/vele
|
