    -AR verbs

    Earlier in this textbook, we learned vocabulary about the classroom, the university, and describing people and things (ser) . We also learned to talk about where things are (estar). In this chapter, we’ll extend out a level and work on themes related to university life and how we spend (pasar) our day. We will learn a new set of vocabulary and verbs to talk about our activities, pastimes/hobbies, and how we spend our day. Because we will be talking about how we spend our day, we'll also learn to tell time, to talk about our schedules and to talk about how we like to spend our free time.

    In this first module, we’ll learn about regular verbs that end in -ar, which may be used to talk about our activities. In the next module, we'll learn to conjugate -AR verbs. One of those verbs is “bailar,” to dance. How many different conjugated forms do you see below?

    -ER/-IR verbs

    We’ll also learn the regular verbs ending in -er and -ir. Here are a few songs featuring those verbs:
