This is a fun, info-packed course that explores searching techniques, research tools, and hones information evaluation skills. You should expect to spend between 3-4 hours a week doing the readings and the assignments. Many students find it helpful to work early in the week for an hour, then come back later in the week to finish the week up. This is especially true of weeks with forums that require responding to another student's work. All the weeks' content and assignments are available and you may work ahead.

The learning outcomes for this class

These are the three guiding principles used when creating this course. My goal is to have you be able to do these three things:

    1. Practice information searching skills across multiple formats and tools.
    2. Evaluate information resources for credibility and suitability for college-level coursework.
    3. Demonstrate ethical and socially-responsible creation and use of information
