Buen lance, ¡viven los cielos!

A la cárcel le llevé,
y salió; llevome a mí,

era fuerza... ya se ve,
su parte en la grave apuesta
defendía cada cual.
Mas con la suerte está mal
Mejía, y también pierde ésta.
Sin embargo, y por si acaso,
no es demás3 asegurarse
de Lucía, a desgraciarse
no vaya por poco el paso.4
Mas por allí un bulto5 negro
se aproxima... y, a mi ver,
es el bulto una mujer.
