You’ve now completed Chapter 3, in which you learned how to talk about daily routines and life as a student. But as students well know, when you work hard, you’ve got to play hard. Thus in Chapter 4, you’ll learn how to talk about free time and the weekend: hobbies such as shopping for clothes, listening to music and playing sports, eating out and going to the movies.

By the end of this chapter, you will be able to talk about a wide range of free-time and weekend activities, asking questions, giving advice and defending your ideas pertaining to these topics. You will also become familiar with cultural information relating to shopping and eating out, among other topics.
