    The Dual "Al-muthanna" المثنى

Arabic grammar has singular, dual, and plural. Dual is used for any two things, while plural is used for three or more. Before using any of these formulas you must take into consideration whether the noun is feminine or masculine. When changing a masculine noun from singular to dual, you need to add the suffix Aan ـان or Ayn ـين at the end of masculine noun. While if the noun is feminine ending with Taa marbouta ة, you need to change the Taa marbouta ة to Taa Maftouha ت, then add the suffixes Aan ـان or Ayn ـين to feminine noun.
