    Learning Objectives

    In this section, you will be able to:

    • Recognize words used in Arabic and English (Cognates).

    Section 1

    Listen, learn, and repeat the vocabulary that are in this table which contain the letters د ذ ج ح خ و In some words you will find a slash then ة "ta'a Marbuta" this indicates the gender. The feminine words end with ة "ta'a Marbuta”. You will learn about ة "ta'a Marbuta" in the next chapter. Also, you will find some words that end with ي this ي takes the form of suffix. it is attached to the noun that's owned to indicate the possessive pronoun (my).
