    Creating Inclusive Content

As we reach the end of this World History textbook, it is important to reflect on the progress that has been made and the challenges that remain in the quest for social justice, equity, and anti-racism in the twenty-first century. Over the course of human history, people have struggled against various forms of oppression and discrimination, including racism, sexism, imperialism, and colonialism. Despite some hard-won victories and advances, these issues persist in various forms to this day. In recent years, the world has witnessed growing demands for social justice and equity in the form of popular uprisings and mass protests.

At the heart of this project is a deep commitment to anti-racism. Racism has been a persistent and insidious problem throughout human history, and its effects can still be seen today in the unequal treatment of people based on their race, ethnicity, or national origin. This includes disparities in access to education, employment, housing, healthcare, and other basic needs, as well as ongoing incidents of racial profiling and police brutality. As historians, it is important that we acknowledge and confront the role of colonialism, imperialism, and other forms of historical oppression in shaping the world today. Many countries around the world are still grappling with the legacies of colonialism, which has often led to unequal distribution of resources, ongoing exploitation, and ongoing violence and conflict. As we move forward into the twenty-first century, it is crucial that we continue to reflect on the progress that has been made and the challenges that remain in our quest for social justice and  equity. We hope that you will find this revised textbook to be a useful resource, and that it will inspire you to continue learning and engaging with important topics in World History.
