Hay más de quinientos grupos indígenas en América Latina, cada (each) uno con su propia (his own) historia y cultura, y muchos todavía (still) hablan las lenguas de sus antepasados (ancestors) precolombinos. Un grupo muy reconocido (well known) es el Aimara. Los aimaras habitan una gran parte de la región andina, que incluye partes de Bolivia, Perú, y Chile. Su lengua es aimara, pero los aimaras que conviven (live together) con poblaciones (population) no muy indígenas también hablan español. Ellos se conocen (are known) por sus rituales tradicionales, el uso de la medicina natural en que se emplea (employs) el uso de hierbas (herbs) y chamanes, y por su textilería. Su ropa suele ser (usually is) de colores brillantes, de tejidos (fabric) de las lanas (wool) de alpaca.
