- This book is designed to give students, in the words of Kenneth Burke, "strategies for dealing with situations"
- 1: Reading in College
- Before learning strategies for writing, you need to learn some strategies for reading. Most of the writing you will do in college will require you to read and respond to texts. Effective reading means asking questions as you read and reflecting on what you're reading. (8000 words)
