* Use andare when you specify the place where you go, do not use uscire, as in these examples: Stasera vado in birreria. / Stasera esco con Matteo.

* Conoscere means to know in the sense of to be familiar with. Compare these examples: Non so sciare bene come mio padre. / Non conosco il padre di Luca.
