Introduction
Your instructor will provide an 11 step gray scale punched with holes to be used during the semester as your value scanner. The scanner is placed on top of an assignment when it is dry to determine the value of a color. This requires practice. Note: The seventh hole down in the image below sees to disappear because it is the same value as the background.
Store your value scanner in the pocket made in class inside the back cover of your sketchbook.
