¿Cómo es tu vivienda?

- ¿Vives en la ciudad, en los suburbios, en el campo?
- ¿Cómo es tu casa? ¿Qué te gusta y qué no te gusta?
In the following video, notice that they use a conjugation that we haven´t learned yet. It is called the conditional. We are not going to study it yet, but you may want to go ahead and make use of it with the verbs ¨gustar¨ and ¨encantar¨. You can use it to talk about what you would like to do or what you would love to do if you were able to. In other words, the conditional is used to talk about what you would do in hypothetical situaltions. For example, if I had the money, ¨me gustaría vivir en Colorado¨. (I would like to live in Colorado. If I could change one thing about my house, ¨me encantaría tener un baño más grande¨. (I would love to have a bigger bathroom).

Get with a group of four students. Pretend you are sharing an apartment or house and you have to buy things for the house. You only have $2,000 total to purchase things. The house does come with a refrigerator, stove, washer, and dryer. It does not come furnished though. In preparation go to a website in Spanish that sells household items . Here are some options:
Now, get with your group. Each student will share what they would like to buy. Then, you may have to compromise until everybody comes to an agreement. Make sure to stay in Spanish. You already know how to do this in English. If you need to ask how to say something in Spanish, ask: ¨¿Cómo se dice _____ en español? ¨ Then, repeat what you need to in Spanish. Pay attention to when you may need the subjunctive.
ejemplos: 1) Quiero que compremos un sofá.
2) Creo que debemos comprar cuatro camas. (I think we should buy four beds.)
3) No estoy de acuerdo. (I don´t agree.)
