Preguntas y adjetivos posesivos
A: ¿Cuándo es tu cumpleaños?
B: Es el 24 de diciembre.
A: ¿Cuándo es el cumpleaños de Marciela?
B: Su cumpleaños es el 4 de junio.
Note the use of the posessive pronouns ¨tu,¨ ¨mi,¨ and ¨su.¨ Remember that we went over them in lesson 3 when describing our families. Here is a review:

Note that they all have a singular and a plural form. ¨Nuestro¨ and ¨vuestro¨ also changes gender. Gender and number matches with the noun that comes after it, not with the person who has ownership.
What if you want to put the person´s name in your sentence instead of using the possessive adjective? There is no apostrophe ¨s¨ to show possession in Spanish.
ejemplo:
El cumpleaños de Roberto es el 15 de mayo.
lit. The birthday of Robert is May 15th.
