    Hello! Welcome to your Arabic language class. My name is Doctor Zaid Ahmad and I have a doctorate in the Arabic language. I work at the University of California – San Bernardino. I am originally from Najaf, Iraq, and I live in San Bernardino. My office is in the College of Humanities and Liberal Arts, directly before the College of Sciences.

    I am married, and I have a son and a daughter. My wife is also Iraqi - from the city of Baghdad - and is a professor of chemistry. My son, Rasool, is a student at the University of California – San Francisco, and he is studying English literature. He likes electronic games. My daughter, Ayat, is a student at the University of California–Fullerton, and she studies computer science. She reads a lot of books in Arabic and English. She lives in the city of Pomona with her grandmother.

    Hello and welcome! My name is Dania Salem, and I am from Lebanon. I live in a big house with my family in Dearborn, Michigan. I am a sophomore at Michigan State University, where I study Physics. My home is located near the University. I study the Arabic language three days a week: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

    On the weekend, on Saturday, I go with my friends to the mall, and I buy new book in Arabic or in Spanish, and I eat with my friends at the Mexican restaurant in the mall. At the end of the week, on Sunday, I write my homework, read my new book, and study my lessons.

    مرحباً بِكم

    أَنا دانية سالم. أَنا مِن لُبنان. وَأَسكنُ في بيتٍ كبيرٍ مَع عائِلَتي فِي مَدينةِ ديربون في وِلايةِ ميشيغن. وَأَنا طالبةٌ في جامعةِ وِلايةِ مشيغان كُلية الفيزياء. الجامعةُ قريبةٌ من بيتي. وَأَنا في السنةِ الثانيةِ في الجامعة. وأَدرسُ اللغة العربية ثلاثة أيام في الأسبوع : يومُ الاثنين وَيومُ الأربعاء وَيومُ الجمعة. في يوم الثلاثاء ويوم الخميس أذْهَبُ إلى النَّادي الرِّياضي

    في نهايَةِ الأسبوعِ، في يومِ السبتِ أذْهَبُ مع صديقاتي إلى المول (المركز التجاريّ) وأشتري كِتاب جَديد باللغة العربيّة أوالأسبانيّة، وَآكُلُ معَ صديقاتي في المطعمِ المَكسيكي في المول. في نهاية الأسبوع، في يوم الأحد أكتُبُ واجِباتي واقرأُ الكِتاب الجديد، وأدرسُ دروسي
