Estereotipos de España
Antes de leer el artículo sobre el conocimiento de los estadounidenses sobre España, debes contestar las siguientes preguntas.
1. ¿Qué sabes de la cultura española?
2. ¿Conoces líderes o famosos españoles?
3. Imagina que viajas a España, ¿adónde vas?
La identidad de España desde fuera y desde dentro
Ahora, debes leer el artículo "Los estadounidenses siguen asociando a España con toros, sol y flamento", publicado por el periódico español El Mundo en 2008.
Después de leer el artículo, debes responder las siguientes preguntas para verificar tu comprensión.
1. ¿Cierto o falso?: Según el texto, los estadounidenses creen que España tiene una economía fuerte.
2. ¿Cierto o falso? El artículo dice que la imagen de España en EE.UU. es ‘positiva pero difusa’. Esto quiere decir que los estadounidenses piensan bien de España pero su conocimiento del país es poco preciso.
3. ¿Cierto o falso? La mitad de los estadounidenses encuestados no conocía a los líderes españoles.
4. ¿Cierto o falso? La mayoría de los estadounidenses saben que Penélope Cruz y Pau Gasol son españoles.
5. ¿Cierto o falso? La mayoría de los estadounidenses cree que España es un país aliado.
