These verbs work just like the verb ¨gustar.¨ Some of these work in a similar fashion in English. For example, a translation of ¨El universo me fascina.¨ or ¨Me fascina el universo¨ is ¨The universe fascinates me.¨ The subject of the sentence is ¨el universo¨ (¨the universe.¨) The person who is impacted is represented by the indirect object pronoun.
Usen los verbos como ¨gustar¨ para conocerse mejor. Each person should use at least three of the verbs like ¨gustar¨ to tell how different things make them feel. Compare your interests.
Ejemplo:
A: Me interesa la astronomía. ¿A ti te interesa?
B: No, no me interesa la astronomía. Me interesa la biología.
We can change the order of the elements in the sentence and still communicate the same thing.

Many of these verbs work similarly in the English equivalents as far as the subject of the verb is concerned.
¨Astronomy doesn´t interest me. Biology interests me.¨ The subject area is provoking the interest and is therefor the
subject of the verb. The person who is impacted is represented by the indirect object pronoun. There are other ways to communicate the same idea, but practice this structure for now in order to become comfortable with it. Use these examples to help you make your sentences instead of depending on digital translators.
