3: Buddhist Scriptures
( \newcommand{\kernel}{\mathrm{null}\,}\)
Thumbnail: Ancient style of scripture of the Pali Canon. In ancient times the Pali Canon was not published in book form, but written on thin slices of wood (possibly bamboo). These 'pages' are kept on top of each other by thin sticks, which go through two little holes in scripture. When not used, the scripture is covered in cloth and kept in a box.
