- Memory involves a good deal of reconstruction, which is highly sensitive to context.
- What we remember is affected by our expectations, emotions, labels, and the context in which we remember it.
- Hence, memory is susceptible to many of the same kinds of errors that reasoning and inference are.
- Because of this, memory can be critically evaluated just like any other source of information can be.
