Léxico. Conocer, saber y poder
Saber se usa cuando nos referimos a tener un conocimiento o para hablar de habilidades aprendidas como nadar, dibujar o hablar un idioma.
-¿Sabes tocar el piano? -Sí, cuando era niña, mis padres me compraron un piano y tenía lecciones todas las semanas.
Poder se usa cuando nos referimos a tener la posibilidad o capacidad de hacer algo.
-¿Puedes tocar el piano? -No, hoy estoy muy ocupada y tengo que irme.
También se usa con el infinitivo para pedir permiso o dar ódernes o instucciones.
¿Puedo ir contigo a la biblioteca?
Conocer se usa para referirse a una experiencia que hemos tenido. Se puede conocer una cosa, un lugar o a una persona.
-¿Conoces a algún pianista famoso? -Sí, cuando estuve en España conocí a James Rhodes.
Recuerda que…
- Se usa la “a” con conocer y personas.
- Conocer no puede tener un verbo en infinitivo después.
