El español en el Caribe
En esta unidad vamos a explorar los siguientes temas por medio de la preparación fuera de clase y la discusión en clase:
- Las razones y las consecuencias del movimiento de la diáspora caribeña.
- La oferta económica caribeña y sus principales fuentes de ingreso, incluyendo la gastronomía y el turismo. Además, vamos a ver cuáles son los desafíos actuales.
- La histórica relación existente entre EE.UU. y los países del Caribe, incluyendo las numerosas olas de migración.
- El valor musical y social de ciertos ritmos y bailes caribeños que caracterizan a las sociedades del Caribe, tanto local como internacionalmente.
También vamos a adquirir vocabulario activo y enfocarnos en los siguientes puntos gramaticales para facilitar la comunicación en español:
- El presente de subjuntivo.
- Las cuatro funciones principales del modo subjuntivo.
- El contraste entre el subjuntivo y el indicativo.
Además vamos a aumentar nuestro conocimiento sobre aspectos lingüísticos del español y aprender estrategias para:
- Expresar opiniones.
- Contrastar diferentes posturas o perspectivas.
- Mejorar la pronunciación.
- Reconocer las características del español hablado en el Caribe.
