In addition, this vocabulaire includes many words that do not occur in the text but might be useful to students as they do various exercises.
Nouns are followed by m for masculine, f for feminine; when a noun has both a feminine and masculine form, both are given in full.
Adjectives are listed in the masculine form. If it ends already in an unaccented e (agréable), or is a form that simply adds -e to create the feminine form (bleu, bleue), nothing else is given. If it is a form that involves some spelling change for the feminine, the inflection is given (actif, active).
Verbs that regularly take être as the auxiliary (so-called être verbs) are followed by "(aux: être)."
We have attempted to give all irregular past participles, with a reference to the infinitive form.
