Grammar Notes: "Clock time" is one of those things best learned by constant repetition, but as you study at home and complete workbook exercises, you may, of course, refer to the examples above for the details of spelling conventions and the standard formula responses. Exercice III
Write out five clock times (in 24-hour format, "0830"), each on a separate slip of paper to hand to fellow students at the next class hour. Write the correct expression in French (spelled out) on the other side of the paper. In class, your instructor may either have you work in groups to test each other or, if it is more appropriate, may have students take turns handing out their slips to other students.
