There are a lot of things to say about this video. The UN’s “Urgent Solutions For Urgent Times” was professionally orchestrated and put together beautifully, it was an amazing experience from beginning to end. The work that went into editing everything together and timing all the cutaways with important dialogue was amazing. There were amazing looking graphics and animations throughout the entire video. The music used played perfectly with each scene and changed according to the emotions meant to be portrayed. Most importantly though, the video touched on many sensitive topics and issues that we as humans are struggling with today and spoke on ways to mitigate these problems.

The organization of the video started with telling what we as humans are capable of and how much we can accomplish and rolled into talking about the most recent tragedies of covid-19 and the horror it brought. The video stemmed off of that and talked about how because of the pandemic, we adapted and made the best of it and what we had. This first chapter sets the pace for the rest of the video with each consecutive chapter starting off with the issue and either people speaking about their experiences with it first hand or videos of people going through it. In chapter one it showed horrible moments when people were going through natural disasters and possibly losing everything they had. In chapter two it shows the lives of those living in extreme poverty and what they are doing to survive. In chapters three and four, it shows the fights that people are committed to, the rallies and protests that they are organizing to fight for what they believe in. After the video shows these scenes it talks about what happened and what these people are doing or did to help themselves and others. Lastly the chapters end with talking about what we can do to help around the world and protect the future of our planet and society.

Consistently in the video, you can see when it cuts away from the speaker to video, graphics, or animations of what they are talking about. This makes viewers understand exactly what they are talking about and the message they are trying to convey. It is much easier to understand what someone is saying when seeing exactly what they are talking about. The graphics and animations used with the speakers were very detailed but also eye catching. They all used a black background but implemented many different colors into the main image to get them to pop and push your attention to specific elements. To tie all of these together, the music that plays on top of it all supports the overall tone of the current speaker.

The music might not seem important, but it is the one thing that is helping the emotion get through to the viewer. It uses louder and faster beat music during moments of high stress or fear and lower beats and volume while speaking on helping and what we can do.

Most of the speakers in the video were recognizable people with extensive backgrounds and very large reputations. When watching it I felt like the problem was more serious due to the amount of very influential people. I instinctively trusted what they were telling me, especially when they were being backed with graphs, statistics and history like when the video talks about how fast the rainforests are being destroyed, how fast animals and plants are going extinct, how many people have been lifted out of poverty in 25 years and much more. On top of this the video made me feel like there are millions of people fighting for all of this and yet it is still not enough and they need everyone's help to make a difference.

Lastly, the video’s main message is to help those around you and the world. There are people fighting for what’s right all around the globe and they need help. The video portrays this message clearly and helps to understand the severity of everything going on in the world. We will never stop fighting to make the world a better place for everyone. Whether it be to reduce your carbon footprint, stand up for people’s rights, help others where you can or just fight for what you believe in.

The video comes together beautifully with all the aspects of a perfect video. It has everything it needs and not too much. Just by watching the video, you can see the amount of effort put into it and how many people support this message. How can you say no to making the world a better place? I honestly can’t find flaws in the video. Maybe it’s because I'm influenced by the message and the tone of the video but it definitely gets a perfect score from me. I cannot imagine a better way to get this message across to people and I hope that the world can watch this and take it to heart.
