- Talk about different professions.
- Talk (a little) about what they do in their free time.

By the end of this chapter, students will know something about:
- School in various Francophone countries.
- The use of French in different Francophone countries.
- French in Canada.
- Leisure activities in Québec.
Grammar/ Tools (what students need to know):
In order to perform these communicative tasks, students will have to understand and be able to use correctly the following structures:
- How to tell time.
- The conjugation of regular -er verbs in the present tense.
- The conjugations of stem-changing -er verbs.
- How to ask and answer simple yes/no questions.
- The interrogative adjective quel.
