Rigoberta Menchú Tum (1959- ) es una líder y activista indígena del Quiché, en la República de Guatemala. Menchú es defensora de los derechos humanos y embajadora de buena voluntad de la UNESCO. En 1992 le otorgarón el Premoo Nobel de la Paz gracias a su lucha por la justicia social y por los derechos indígenas.
