Presente perfecto del subjuntivo (también pretérito perfecto compuesto del subjuntivo)
The present perfect subjunctive is referred as "presente perfecto del subjuntivo" or "pretérito perfecto compuesto del subjuntivo" in Spanish. The present perfect subjunctive refers to actions that "have happened", just like the present perfect indicative. In English, the present perfect indicative and subjunctive are the same tense. However, in Spanish, the present perfect subjunctive must be used when the same conditions that trigger the present subjunctive are used with the present perfect.
Fórmula
main clause in present indicative + que + subordinate clause in present perfect subjunctive
The sentence structure will have two clauses: the main clause and the subordinate clause. In this case, the main clause must be in present indicative and the subordinate clause in present perfect subjunctive. The main clause gives a "present" reaction to an event that happened in the past. Remember, the present perfect refers to an action that has happened in the past.
Conjugación
The present perfect subjunctive conjugation requires the verb "haber" to be conjugated in present subjunctive, followed by another verb in past participle form.
