Frida Kahlo (1907-1954) fue una pintora mexicana. En su obra refleja sus raíces europeas e indígenas mexicanas, así como también el sufrimiento que pasó durante su vida. Aunque fue muy conocida y admirada por otros artistas de su época, no recibió la fama ni el reconocimiento del que hoy goza hasta después de su muerte. En vida, estuvo casada con Diego Rivera, muralista mexicano, quien en su época era más famoso que ella.
