    • Apply effective reading strategies used by proficient readers before, during, and after reading text.
    • Explore attitudes about academic writing.
    • Explain the elements of the writing process.

    Proficient readers use a variety of strategies before, during, and after reading to help them comprehend and appreciate written texts. In this module, we will learn about reading actively and recursively and also apply a variety of strategies to improve vocabulary, which is an essential foundation for reading comprehension.
