While women are great soldiers in many different fields of the military, for example pilots communications support, and in supplies, they are without a doubt strong, smart, and able to support various missions when it comes to defending their country proudly. People must start to realize that there are just specific fields in the different branches of the military, females are not physically suitable for, and that is alright. Carrying heavy armor and equipment on a daily basis for hours and hours is hard work and men are just better at it, merely because they are built differently. When it comes to survival every soldier has to pull their weight, their comrades have to know that they can depend on each other; their lives depend on one another. Tied spaces, no privacy and the possibility of sexual harassment are just too great of a risk to put women on the front lines where all the heavy lifting and dirty jobs are being done. Still women are great fighters and supporters in the Armed forces; there is no question about that. Testimonies from both, women that went through the high demands, and men fighting beside them, are of the same understanding that it takes a too large of a toll on the female body. Plenty of male soldiers have to deal with the same pains and injuries and the aftermath when retiring; it just is not as drastic as for women, the male body can take the abuse longer. So, in the end, there are still a few areas that the gender difference plays a role, not because out of prejudice reasons just because men and women are different anatomically. Society just has to learn to accept it. Women have come a long way, and the movement for gender equality is moving along slow and steady but moving nevertheless in the right direction.
