Scenario 4.1: Ma Xiaoqing calls her counselor to make an appointment.

Note: 的is used to indicate someone’s affiliations. This function is a wider usage of the possession function of 的. The whole sentence literally means “I am Chinese Department’s Ma Xiaoqing.”

Scenario 4.2: Zhang Wenshan invites Ma Xiaoqing to watch a movie.

Note: 会 indicates the most objective possibility. Compare: I would like to go. (I like parties) 我想去。 I am going to go. (I have made an appointment) 我要去。 Likely I will go. 我会去。
