    刷卡 lit. “swipe card,” refers to paying by credit card.

    请客 Inviting others for a meal is the common way in China to show welcome and appreciation; it is also the most common social activity. Usually people take turns paying the bills, and you rarely see Chinese people splitting the check in a restaurant.
