We use can to talk about future actions which we will be able to do because of present ability, circumstances and decisions.
- She can win the race tomorrow if she really tries.
- I’ve bought my ticket, so I can go to the concert next week.
- Can you come to my party on Saturday?
In other cases, we prefer to use will be able to.
- I’ll be able to speak English fluently after I finish my ESOL courses.
- Someday, people will be able to go on vacation to the moon.
- If someone invents a robot that can take care of our children, parents will be able to save a lot of money on day care.
