French Around the World
The vowel sound oi in North American French often pronounced differently from the French OI.
In Quebecois and Missouri French for example, the oi sound (as in toi, moi, oiseau) is pronounced oé (like "way") instead of “wa” used in France. For example the word moi would be pronounc "mwa" in France, but "mway" in Québec.
