Part Two of this textbook builds on the content, themes, and language development introduced in Part One. It draws on the stories and histories of the Latinx community in the Chicago area to engage students in further exploring language and identity while continuing to build on and expand their existing language skills. Its goal is to strengthen and support students’ linguistic and sociocultural connections to Spanish-speaking communities. Part Two can be used as a continuation of Part One or as a resource to enhance and expand an existing curriculum.
