    El fútbol es más que un deporte para mi familia

    En México el fútbol es un deporte muy grande y hermoso para mucha gente. El fútbol es una manera de representarse para los mexicanos. Mis hermanos incluso dicen que es una tradición que se pasa entre generaciones. Ellos también lo describen como una necesidad para estar bien. Yo pienso que el fútbol realmente es más que un deporte, es como una manera de unión familiar. El fútbol fue traído (was brought) a México durante el siglo XIX desde las colonias inglesas y desde ese entonces la historia y la tradición nos dicen que el fútbol es muy importante para nosotros los mexicanos y que es más que un deporte.

    Desde que yo recuerdo, mi familia y yo vamos a muchos partidos y campeonatos (championships) de fútbol. Algunos campeonatos o partidos a los que asistimos son el fútbol de la liga mexicana, el fútbol en la escuela y los partidos entre la familia. Mi familia también viaja a muchos otros lugares para poder jugar. En mi familia mis primos, tíos y mi padre, con mis hermanos, juegan al fútbol por más de 30 años.

    Uno de mis hermanos ahora tiene 17 años y juega desde los siete años de edad, y mi hermano menor desde los seis años también empieza a jugar al fútbol. Ahora ellos son parte del equipo de fútbol de la escuela y también son los capitanes del equipo (team). Yo los veo jugar y a ellos no les importa si se lastiman (get hurt): lo único que quieren es ganar el partido. Ellos empezaron (started) a jugar porque mi papá siempre manda (orders) a hacer un deporte y ellos escogen (choose) el fútbol porque ellos ven a mi padre jugar con sus amigos y compadres. Mis hermanos a veces no van a reuniones (gatherings) familiares o la as fiestas de cumpleaños por jugar un partido. Ellos realmente aman el fútbol.
