    Purpose: You will practice your writing skills in Spanish by reading the sample conversation. Then, you will write a conversation using the vocabulary you learned in Capítulo 1.

    Task: This activity has two parts:

    1. Read the conversation.
    2. Then, write your conversation using the vocabulary you learned in Capítulo 1.

    Part 1. Read the conversation. Remember to read the requirements for the discussion in Canvas because your participation is in Canvas.

    Antonia: Hola compañeros. ¿Cómo te llamas?

    Vicente: Hola, me llamo Vicente. Y ¿tú?

    Antonia: Mucho gusto, Vicente. Me llamo Antonia.  Vicente, te presento a Ana María.

    Vicente: Mucho gusto, Ana María. ¿De dónde eres?

    Ana María: Yo soy de Colombia.  Y ¿cómo eres, Vicente?

    Vicente: ¡Ah! Muy bien, Ana María. Yo soy serio, callado e inteligente. Bueno, Antonia y Ana María. Les presento a Domingo.

    Ana María: Mucho gusto, Domingo. ¿Eres puertorriqueño?

    Domingo: No, no soy puertorriqueño, pero soy tico.  Es decir, soy costarricense. Soy de Costa Rica. Entonces, Ana María, eres colombiana. 

    Ana María. Sí, soy colombiana y vivo en Bogotá.

    Antonia: Perdón, pero tengo clase de matemáticas. ¿A qué hora es, Vicente?

    Vicente: Son las nueve de la mañana. ¿A qué hora es tu clase, Antonia?

    Antonia: Mi clase es las nueve más treinta de la mañana. Bueno, compañeros, gusto conocerlos. Chao.

    Domingo y Vicente: Nos vemos.
