    Course Objectives.

At the end of this module the students will be able to:
    1. Identify the questions in Spanish
    2. Answer questions in the target language
    3. Write a short paragraph or sentences in Spanish

This assignment aims to help you prepare to write an assignment where everything is part of your final grade for Escritura 1. What it means is you won't receive any points for this task.

Your partner in class has won a spotlight in the University’s newsletter as the top student of the semester and it is your job to interview him/her for the 75-100 word article. Follow the steps below to complete the task.

Paso 1: Talk to a classmate using the following guided questionnaire as well as adding 3 more questions you would like to ask. Be sure to take notes on what your partner says.

    1. ¿Cómo te llamas?
    2. ¿Cómo se escribe tu nombre? ¿Y tu apellido?
    3. ¿Cuál es la fecha de tu cumpleaños?
    4. ¿Cuántas clases tomas este semestre?
    5. ¿Cuántos créditos tomas este semestre?
    6. ¿Cuáles son tus clases este semestre?
    7. ¿Qué clases tomas los lunes, martes, …etc?
    8. ¿Cuál es tu clase favorita?

    10. ¿Cuál es tu día favorito de la semana?
    11. ¿Cuál es tu peor (worst) día de la semana?
    12. ¿A qué hora es tu primera clase los lunes, martes…etc?
    13. ¿Cuál es tu especialidad académica?
    14. ¿Trabajas? ¿Dónde?
    15. ¿Cuántas horas trabajas por semana?
    16. ¿Qué clases vas a tomar el próximo semestre?
    17. ¿Que vas a hacer para el descanso de invierno (winter break) o descanso de verano (summer break)?
    18. ______________________________________________________
    19. ______________________________________________________
    20. ______________________________________________________

Paso 2: Using the information you have collected from the interview, write a logical and organized paragraph. Starting with the information about his/her daily life and then moving into the future plans. Be sure to title your writing: “La vida de mi compañero como estudiante universitario”

    5. Have you looked at combining short sentences together with “y” or “pero”?
    6. Have you tried transition words at the beginning of sentences such as “también” (also) or “después de (infinitive)” (after)?
