    El accidente

    Lucía tuvo un accidente y la llevaron al hospital en ambulancia. A continuación, lee la conversación entre Lucía y Omar después de que ella salió del hospital. Presta atención al uso del pretérito y el imperfecto. Después de leer, completa las actividades basadas en la lectura.

    Recuerda:

    • El pretérito se usa para acciones que ocurrieron una vez, para la acción principal en una historia, o para acciones con un principio y un fin específicos, aunque estos no siempre se mencionen.
    • El imperfecto se usa para dar detalles, descripciones, sentimientos y emociones dentro de la historia. También se usa para describir acciones habituales en el pasado.

    Lectura

    Lucía: Hola, Omar, ¿cómo estás?

    Omar: Estoy bien, gracias, Lucía. ¿Cómo estás tú?

    Lucía: No muy bien. Estoy en el hospital.

    Omar: ¡En el hospital! ¿Qué te pasó?

    Lucía: No lo vas a creer. Hoy, después de mi partido de golf, decidí caminar por mi vecindario. Mientras caminaba, escuchaba música, para relajarme. Estaba muy contenta porque el partido de golf fue excelente. ¡Gané por muchos puntos! Tenía muchas ganas de celebrar, entonces saqué mi teléfono para invitar a mis amigos a un bar, pero no pude llamar a nadie. Cuando iba a marcar tu número de teléfono un automóvil me atropelló y se fue. Me dejó tirada en la calle. Por suerte, una mujer que caminaba por allí me vio y llamó al 911. Poco después llegó una ambulancia y me llevó a la sala de emergencias del hospital. Me dolía todo el cuerpo y no podía mover mis piernas. Estaba muy preocupada porque a mí me encanta practicar deportes y tenía miedo de tener una pierna rota y no poder caminar más. Tenía mucho miedo y no entendía nada de lo que me decían los paramédicos. Sólo recuerdo que me subieron en la ambulancia, me pusieron una inyección y me trajeron al hospital. En el hospital, no recuerdo qué pasó. Se me olvidó todo y me duele mucho la cabeza. Además, tengo mucho miedo de contraer el coronavirus. Todas las personas traen cubrebocas, pero hace un momento vino una enfermera que tosía mucho y me puse muy nerviosa, no me quiero morir en un hospital sola. Omar, ¿puedes venir por mí?

    Omar: Sí, claro, Lucía. En un momento salgo para el hospital, pero calma. Tú eres una mujer muy fuerte y saludable, estoy seguro de que pronto vas a estar bien.
