A Song of Ascents.
I raised my eyes to the hills.
Shall help for me come from there?
My help comes from the Lord,
maker of heaven and earth.
He won’t let you stumble;
your Protector never sleeps.
Israel’s Protector neither slumbers nor sleeps.
The Lord is your Protector,
your shade on your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord will protect you from all adversity;
He will protect your life.
The Lord will protect your leaving and returning,
now and evermore.
O Lord our Protector, whose care is constant and unrelenting, keep us safe and free from evil, both in our leaving and in our returning, until we reach our heavenly home where You live and reign with the Son and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
