Conserva me, Domine

Protect me, God, for I take refuge in You.
I have said to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
I have nothing good but You.”
The saints in the land are the noble ones;
in them I take delight.
Those who chase after other gods
multiply their sorrows;
their libations of blood I will not pour out;
their gods I will not name with my lips.
The Lord is my inheritance and my cup;
my future is in Your hands.
The boundary lines have fallen in my favor;
I have a beautiful inheritance.
I will bless the Lord who counsels me;
even at night I sense His advise.
I keep the Lord constantly before me;
He is at my right hand,
so I shall not be moved.
My heart, therefore, is glad;
My Glory rejoices;
My flesh also shall rest secure.
For you will not abandon Me to Sheol;
You will not let Your holy One rot in the Pit.
You will show Me the path to life;
In Your presence is absolute joy;
at Your right hand pleasures evermore.
Almighty God, the protection of all who trust in You, You did not abandon Your Son to the realm of the dead, nor let His flesh experience decay. Raise us to life with Him, that we might know the absolute joy of Your eternal Presence; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
