    1. Download the Word template and begin brainstorming ideas for your paper.
    2. Construct an introductory paragraph that explains your employment history and goals.  It should include the following information: previous employment, current employment, the career you aspire to achieve, and the educational goals that will help you to get there.
    3.  Create a second paragraph that describes your current online profile.  Explain if your current online profile is conducive to you acquiring your desired career.  If it isn't, describe your plan to change it.  Make reference to the articles read and use an author tag to start the sentence. EX: According to Author Name, it is important for a job seeker to have a LinkedIn account.
    4. Create a third paragraph that describes four personal strengths that add value to an employer.  Refer to the Habits of Mind and Strengths Finder handouts.  Give a minimum of one example for each strength to support your claim with evidence.  (You want the employer to believe you and know that you aren't simply making this up!)
    5. Create a fourth paragraph that explains your inspiration.  Include information here about the successful business person you researched and two inspirational quotes (Links to an external site.) that keep you moving forward.
    6. Add the citations for the articles read to your paper at the very end (you can copy and paste).
    7. Ask someone else to read your paper and check for any errors or to verify that it makes sense.
    8. Proofread your paper and upload it to Canvas.
