    Readings

    The readings for this module focus on using motivational appeals in public speaking for social justice. The readings emphasize the use physiological appeals (emotional appeals) in speeches. Emotional appeals grab the audience’s attention and keep them engaged. When people feel emotionally connected to a topic, they are more likely to listen attentively and remember what was said. Emotional appeals can be highly persuasive. When people are emotionally moved, they are more likely to be convinced and motivated to take action.
