      In-class activity: Lead a short reflection about the speech. Has anyone else in the class experienced anything similar to the speaker’s struggle? Has anyone seen someone else struggle like she did? After the discussion, have the class write down answers to the following questions: What labels do you put onto your personal cultural identity? What are some, if any, barriers you have encountered because of your cultural identity? What settings do you feel most comfortable because of your cultural
    • 14.3: Assignment
      Assignment: Prepare a short 1-2 minute speech about one of the communities you belong to. This can be your family, a group at work, your friends at school, your religious community, etc. Prepare to tell the class about how you fit into this community and how often you spend time with them. Prepare a digital visual aide (Powerpoint, Google Slides, Etc.) with at least 2 slides to present with your speech.
