    Practice identifying deepfakes

    Review seven strategies that you and your students can use to identify deepfakes, listed at https://avidopenaccess.org/resource/strategies-for-identifying-deepfakes/, and incorporate them into your lesson.

    1. Use deepfake detectors.

    2. Listen with your eyes.

    3. Listen with your ears.

    4. Practice.

    5. Use your background knowledge.

    6. Consider the source.

    7. Approach media with a healthy dose of skepticism.
