    All science uses a logical approach called the scientific method, that involves carefully observing and recording information, and then analyzing the information supported by evidence, all in a particular procedural order. The scientific method has five basic steps, and is cyclical, much like the database research process we discussed in module 4:

    Just as you would repeat the series of steps in the research process, use your results to form new hypotheses and predictions that can also be tested.
