    Infographic critique

    Using the website Daily Infographic (https://www.dailyinfographic.com/) or just a Google Image search for the word "infographic," find three that work for your class. Discuss the following:

    • What is the message of this visual? Who is the audience?
    • What is the author’s purpose of creating this infographic?
    • How does the author demonstrate their authority or knowledge of the subject? (If they do)
    • How does the writer try to engage an audience, even an audience who may not initially care about the topic?
    • Explain how specific visual elements support your understanding of the author's topic or their analysis of it. Analyze the text, font size and style, visual design, colors vs. white space, visual emphasis, etc.
    • How is the infographic organized?
    • Does the infographic make a claim or develop an argument? If so, how can you tell?
    • Which of these communicates best? Why?
    • If you could improve this infographic, what would you change?
